Nicole McLaughlin is a creative who turns various objects into concept clothes and shoes, showing the importance of creativity and resisting mass production. Her work aims to remind us of the importance of using what we already have and recycling in a funny way.
McLaughlin uses bags of food and other common items to create hilarious iterations of clothing pieces. She turns gummy candy bags into shorts, bags of cereal into a vest, etc.
“I would go to thrift stores and try to find something that I could make something new out of,” she tells WWD. Scroll down to see some of our favorites and check out her Instagram page if you want to see more of her work!
